We had the 2019 Block 48 on 3/4-5/23. This is a fruit forward, medium bodied wine. Light garnet in color. Black cherry and plum on the bouquet. Black cherry, strawberry and baking spice on the palate. A velvety mouth feel. A long finish. We bought this at the tasting room in Carmel. — 3 years ago
We had the 2012 Vintage on 9/24-25/21. This is a full bodied, well balanced Pinot Noir. The bouquet is wonderful with black fruit and cardomom. The palate has bing cherry, wild strawberry, oak and even a little vanilla. A very good wine. — 5 years ago

Founded in 1982 Robert Talbott Sr., his wife Audrey, and their son Robb, with the planting of the 24-acre Diamond T Estate Vineyard and the construction of the first winery in Carmel Valley. Aromas of crisp fruit with scents of oak and floral. On the palate apple and pear flavors with sweet citrus notes and tangy acidity. Lingering finish ending with a creamy texture — 9 years ago
chalky, buttery...delicious — 9 years ago
Not as good as the 98 but still pretty enjoyable showing lots of the qualities of an older mature wine with ripe tanins and mature fruit - good bit of richness for a Pinot — 10 years ago
One of my favorites. I think the Cabernet Sauvignon is a little better. This one is so very smooth. Don’t know how to describe taste. — 5 months ago

Not good with Italian foods, but great with steak. — 8 years ago
Girlfriend out of town so that means I drink chard (she's not a fan)
Two 2013 reserve wines from her work (gallo)
Both are nice. The j strata is very citrusy but also has some butter and oak. The talbott more fruit than the j (less citrusy and more stone fruit). The j has probably done better with age.

The 2022 Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow Vineyard is a richer, more forward style of Chardonnay. A lovely hug of spicy French oak wraps around a sweet, ripe pear fruit core. Textural intensity is the order of the day—this wine spent much of its maturation period on the lees, which softened its edges in a really pleasant fashion. A forgivable tick of heat emerges on the finish, but this is attractive enough to look past that. (Billy Norris, Vinous, August 2024)

Very nice and it kept getting better as the evening went on. — 4 years ago
Vintage 2017; enjoyed on 3/20/2020 — 6 years ago
Nice full bodied pinot. Very reminiscent of sea smoke and belle glos. Loved it. — 8 years ago
Bright sharp cherry with a bit of earth. Nicely lean, not jammy. Hides its 14.8% abv. Could stand with a good Sonoma Coast or richer Willamette Valley. I'd say yes. — 9 years ago
Fruit and acidity are integrated nicely. Holding up well. — 10 years ago
