This pale yellow Sauvignon Blanc shows new world grassiness on the nose, along with lemon, grapefruit and minerals. On the palate there is citrus, intense minerality and great acidity. The finish bears a clean citrus note. It's very drinkable, and very pairable. — 7 days ago
One of the grapes in this blend is a Spanish original, the other is common over much of the winegrowing globe. The mixture here makes Viura the star. Intense minerality is at the forefront, with superb aromas of lemon and lime zest. Acidity is racy, while the Chardonnay brings tropical notes into the palate. I'll bet a plate of oysters would pair up nicely, or pasta with olive oil and pepper. — 7 days ago
Served a little on the warm side, which may affect the rating. Lemon curd, pear, and some nice white floral on the nose. — 7 days ago
Love this one! Definitely one of my favorites! — 12 days ago
Unique, like nothing else in Chateauneuf and in 2007. Bonneau’s touch is all over this wine, superbly constructed, not overripe despite being an 07, beautiful blend of primary and secondary aromatics. 🙏
This wine concluded yet another terrific night at l’Oustalet. Congrats to their team for a much deserved 1* Michelin Star ! — 5 days ago
96% Grenache & 4% Marsanne
Nose has well peppered cherry/raspberry compote, but a touch of heat on the close is annoying, but 1) super young and 2) needs a much longer decant.
Palate has velvety raspberry/blueberry juice, dry earth, dry minerals, chewy tannins and medium-long finish.
A great wine, that will likely be a super star by 2020-22. — 11 days ago
An interesting Red blend from Bethlehem.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice long legs.
Tangy finish with medium, round tannins.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, vanilla, wood, earth, barnyard, vegetables, spices, smoke and dark coffee.
Soft and smooth and very enjoyable. Feels like an old world wine.
Had it blind and called Austrian red. Wrong.
Made with local grapes grown around the winery. Organic.
13% alcohol by volume.

Really enjoyed this spice underbrush, dried herbs very approachable ( soft tannins especially for a relatively young wine ) but super enjoyable with the meat loaf at Bear and Star — 6 days ago
