Telling this week to fuck off in style. — 6 years ago
See previous notes. Meaty aromas together with blueberry, red currant and raspberry - a hint of bay leaf. A wonderful wine from old vine Mataro (Mourvèdre). Medium to full bodied with stacks of savoury flavour. Sadly my last one. I should seek out more recent vintages. — 3 years ago

Gorgeous easy drinking wine. — 5 years ago
Absolutely beautiful red. We drank this with some cheese, would also go beautifully with meat and even on its own. No harsh tannins and such a smooth wine. Can't wait to have more. Very subtle barossa wine. — 6 years ago
Very special rose from Barossa. Savory and ripe red berry flavors and intense flavor and long lasting. Will chill it and drink more later — 4 years ago
Very dark crimson - particularly for a 10 year old wine. Plum Chocolate and a tarry Creosote like note. A medium to full bodied palate of M plus intensity. I have the greatest of respect for Huon Hooke as a wine judge but I think his drinking window of 2011 to 2019 is too conservative. This has the power to go on for at least another 5 years and should show more complexity then. Estimating drinking windows is an inexact science. — 5 years ago

We had this 2018 Spinifex Rostein Shiraz at Atria in Melbourne. It was a really elegant wine—sharp and focused, with dark fruits and dried herbs standing out. It didn’t have the usual pepper flavors we expected from Eden Valley Shiraz, which made it feel different in a good way. The balance and structure were spot on, and it finished smoothly. Definitely a wine that’s confident and refined. — a month ago
