Enjoyed this wine, paired with Mie Gorang (Indonesian noodles). This fuller bodied rose has a fair bit of tannins that balanced the intensity of the dish while matching the aromas well. Fairly citrusy and floral. Not much on the nose. Finish is a lingering sweetness on the back of the palate. Very interesting rosè, would love to have again. — 2 years ago

Great local wine in Sardinia. — 4 years ago
Italy. Red. Sardegna. Another great red from Sardegna. I’ve decided I like cannonau. This one is more fruity than the Sella & Mosca with black cherry and plum notes. I actually might prefer it but both are great, used this in cooking and enjoying with a hearty tomato-based pasta. My favorite wines thus far have been from the Italian island regions: Sardinia and Sicily. $14. 13% alc by vol. — 6 years ago
Spectacular. Couldn’t drink enough of this. Rich, smooth and round tannins, typical of a great noble Aglianico. — 8 years ago
Yummy! Super Sardinian :) 50/50 Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cannonau - hmmm it's delicious, garnet color and medium body - pomegranate, plums, raisins and liquor cherries (Grenache higher alcohol) with ripe but medium+ tannins . It fruity, but with acidity "Chuck Norris" kick from Cabernet. — 9 years ago
Light yellow color. Aromas of green orchard fruit, white flowers and citrus. Flavors of peaches, nectarines, tropical fruit, green apples, lemon curd, raw almonds and a very pleasing saline note. Beautiful note of minerality on the long finish. Medium-minus body (but still a bit of heft) and refreshing acidity. Lovely silky texture for such a crisp wine. Outstanding QPR. The hotel restaurant is closed for a huge party. I worked a little magic to order privately some pasta in the other restaurant which is not open. Saluti! “Cent'anni!”
Local Alghero, Sardinia Cabernet.
It is certainly dark currants, dark chocolate, blackberries, black raspberries, the darkest cherries-poached/baked, strawberries the same way, blackberries plum, mocha powder, moist tobacco, soft used leather, crushed rock powder, oak barrel powdery (don’t believe they use a lot of new wood here) dry top soil, dry herbs, dry twig, hint of menthol, dark, rich turned earth, withering dark flowers & red roses round acidity, well balanced, nicely tensioned, elegant and smartly polish finish that land on spice and lasts two-minutes.
14% ABV

È uno specchio orribile, almeno da questa angolazione. Non viaggi con i tuoi bicchieri? Ho amici che dicono che il vino in Italia è molto migliore di quello italiano che si trova qui. Io sorrido e saluto. Forza Dodgers!

Another excellent vintage of this Sardinian clone of Grenache. Aromas of bright red fruit, dried violets, smoky oak and sweet baking spices. Flavors of juicy red cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit, cola, tobacco and those baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Crisp, vibrant and refreshing acidity. Full bodied and surprisingly smooth tannins. 14% ABV, but it is difficult to notice. Outstanding value! Thanks for the taste, Kase. — 18 days ago
