Gewurztraminer from the Froehn grand cru in Zellenberg. Rich, aromatic nose with aromas of candied peaches, floral (white flowers) and exotic fruit notes (lychee, guava). On the palate it is round, very sweet, with hints of chamomile and pleasant finish — 2 years ago
Sakana dinner second time with Wilson Mabel 6/15/22 and again as with Altenberg last time basically matched perfectly with almost all the wonderful dishes. Outshone the Grand Cru Riesling Schlossberg easily. Perfect combo of fruits stones earthiness liveliness that complemented all the varieties. Only big exception was the complex Uni bowl of shiso leaf overlaid with mixture of uni wagu scallop salmon roe scallop yuzu jelly. Riesling was worse on that wonderful dish. — 14 days ago

The R.Q.W.R. Riesling: ripe, almost honeyed stone fruit, real soft texture, a bit restrained. — a month ago
Hint of Botrytis just adds to the complexity. Touch of oxidation which actually was a good addition. Good weight and layers of flavors with a long finish. — 8 months ago
