Excellent red from northern Greece, this wine is unlike any I’ve had before. Complex layers of blue and black fruits, nice minerality, and an expansive palate. Has hints of eucalyptus that reminds me of Heitz Martha’s Vineyard. Without question the best red wine from Greece that I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a restaurant in Athens, do not miss Scala Vinoteca. The food is excellent, the wine list not long but very good, and the service is fantastic! — 8 years ago

Delicious! Substantially elevated my underwhelming leg of lamb. This Syrah isn’t as gamey as you typically see — more fruit-forward almost like a Cabernet. And (as I always love pointing out) it’s exceptional value for the price. I loved it! — 7 years ago

The niose on this is out of this world (or one might say heavenly hehehe) for a garnacha with both fresh and stewed plums, black pepper, menthol or eucalyptus, and the savoryness of red meat. Relaxed and not in a hurry on the pallate, it floats there with very fine tannins and just enough acid to keep it fresh while not interfering with the silky texture of it all.
