From San Guido estate, called Castiglioncello, Sassicaia, "the place of many stones". Blend of 85% Cab Sauv & 15% Cab Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of rich black fruits & complex spice aromas. On the palate ripe blackberry, cherry and sweet currants with flavors of cedar, vanilla spice, leather, bits of tar and cacao, a powerhouse. Fine soft tannins. silky smooth ending with slight earthy espresso and mineral character. Tastes great now and has room to continue aging! Outstanding!! — 5 years ago

Not as good as the '21. This year offers 40% Merlot, 32% Cab Franc, 23% Cab Sauv and 5% Petite Verdot. IGT. Olive tamponade, a bit dusty and cedar opener. Full mouthfeel and very drinkable now, but this might benefit from a time out for a while. — 7 months ago

Blend of 96% Sauv Blanc with 4% Sauv Gris adding an interesting dynamic to the wine & distinctive aromas (prior to ‘18 vintage some Semillon added). Pale lemon color, citrus, tropical & floral aromas. On the palate peach, melon, herb & earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a long finish ending rich with wet stone character. Good value! A Fav!! Very light gold color. Peaches, pineapple, flint, and lemongrass on the nose. This is more Sauv Blanc and Riesling than previous vintages, Less acidity too. Still good, just different from previous vintages I’ve had. Great depth and long finish. Love the complexity and uniqueness! — a year ago
