So delicious just in its own! Was looking for something a little heavier than Sandeman Tawny (which was my intro)...found it! Wanted that raisin sweetness with a nutty finish and this was perfect! The alcohol scent hits the nose immediately but smooth from there. — 9 years ago

Nice golden amber color with rich complex aromas of rich dried fruits, caramel, vanilla and nutty spice, 120 grams of residual sugar. On the palate flavors of apricot, sweet cherry with orange blossom and toasty nutty notes, well balanced with lively nice acidity. Long finish ending smooth with honey nutty spice character. Une surprise.... un caviste m’a donné ce porto en me disant que ca devait provenir des années 60 ou 70... très peu d’attentes. Une belle douceur couvre le palais. C’est fin, délicat mais supporte bien les fromages. La prune, un peu de liqueur à la cerise mais en beaucoup moins sucré et évidemment un côté chocolaté.
