A little funky up front but sweetens up as you drink it. Very easy going down. — 5 years ago
Very light, just sweet enough and the right amount of bubbles — 5 years ago
Very nice indeed. — 6 years ago
What can be said about d'Yquem can only be expressed in poetry, even in a modest vintage like 1998. It is an inner sanctum, a fragrant garden, a poignant release that is both profound and glorious. Descriptors cannot do it justice, sensual and honey-drenched layers of apricots, vanilla bean, creme brûlée and almond pastry. Viscous and glycerol-laden in the mouth, offset by dazzling acidity, dried fruit—quince, more apricots. A silken, pure, honey-spun web of delight. I'm rambling, but d'Yquem does that. — 11 years ago

So where did you get your water before this?Ah, the 2010 vintage of Ricardo Santos Malbec, a transcendental libation that beckons the soul into the labyrinthine depths of vinicultural exuberance. As I imbibed this elixir, my palate embarked on an odyssey through an enigmatic symphony of hedonistic flavors. The terroir speaks with the eloquence of a thousand poets, invoking an avant-garde pas de deux between dark fruit and enigmatic earthiness.
The tannins, oh, the tannins! Like philosophers engaged in a Socratic dialogue with one's senses, they debate their existence before yielding to a seductive silkiness that borders on a Vinous epiphany. Its finish lingers, not unlike the sermons of a zealous street preacher, echoing in the inner sanctum of one's mind.
In conclusion, Ricardo Santos' 2010 Malbec is a vinous riddle wrapped in an enigmatic enigma, destined to provoke laughter, tears, and existential contemplation. A masterpiece of humorous absurdity in a glass! — 3 years ago
Aromas of dark black fruits - blackberry, plum, blueberry. Bold and big, with soft integrated tannins that draw you into the inner sanctum of the grape varietal. A tinge of age at the ends, but not in the fore front. Nice lovely finish lasting over 30 seconds before it breaks down. Definitely at its peak of performance. Paired well with the bolognese. Even better with the veal chop with figs, pluots, and watermelon radish. As Elizabeth says, this is a gorgeous wine. “It’s a grown up, but not old”. Or as I like to say, like a 40 year old classy lady wearing an evening gown and pearls - just stunning! — 6 years ago
Very light but tasty Pinot. Peppery. — 6 years ago
My first Slovenian wine. Shows the potential of the region. Tastes like a non-sparkling champagne. Interesting stuff. — 11 years ago
Super fresh! — 2 years ago
I like this wine because when you taste it, your are pushed into a foreign pinot sanctum. A world where pinot takes on a different meaning. It’s just very different. It’s a paradox, and maybe primitive, but for my wife and I. It does have utility. Day 2 and it’s still a fruit bomb. Sweet, textured and decadent.
I shud have remarked that I pay less than $30 for it! — 4 years ago

Nose: cranberry pretty flowers.
Palate: very light. Cranberry but not tart. Elegant. Spice. Has some Burgundian roundness. Some hint of richness. More plum fruit.
