“Sketch” brought the power tonight with bright, tropical fruits: passion fruit, star fruit, lemons and metal. Our palates were lavished with acid and the salinity was the star of the show. An ever so long and refreshing finish. An elixir that gave one the feeling we were being rehydrated with each sip. An emotional wine. Probably has a couple of decades. — 3 months ago
Fresh, expressive, mineral.
Black fruit galore with wet earth, rocky minerality, fresh saltiness & spice. Enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate, with impeccable balance and beautiful depth. Purity of fruit, paired with finely grained & polished tannins and amazing freshness. Great drinkability, nice depth, brilliant character.
This is a beauty that sings!! A splendid wine! — 5 months ago
Mencia at its finest - if a little young & wound up. Raspberry & brambly stems, dried rose petal, allspice & cloves, dry, fragrant Mediterranean scrub, a touch of wet iron or rust. — a month ago
100% Tempranillo from young vines, aged 6 months in French oak and 6 months in American oak, deep Ruby color with aromas of fruit, spices and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao and black pepper. Firm approachable tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and floral mineral character. Drink now! — 3 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2022 pours, a bright magenta color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of fresh strawberry, watermelon, kiwi, gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with low tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This is a deliciously quaffable Rosado and yet has enough complexity and “je ne sais quoi” to grab one’s attention. Drink now and over the next handful of years. Uncle Raúl is a master. — 6 months ago

Suggested at Grand Cata on 11/29/2024 when I asked for Ribera sacra bzw. Galicia. $30. L noted Chambers had shipped same wine! Likely natural then, though lacking that liveliness. Drank 11/30/2024. Ash, bubble gum on nose. Puckett tannins will likely settle down with time and warmth. Black fruit, violets, gravel/slate. Long strong finish lingers. — 21 days ago
