Producer history and notes...Ryan Crane founded Kerloo Cellars in 2007. Ryan’s path to winemaking began as a volunteer at Animale Cellars. After leaving Animale Cellars, he worked crush with Marie-Eve Gilla at Forgeron Cellars. Marie-Eve is Gilles (Director of Winemaking & Viticulture) Long Shadows wife and who's wines I'll post soon. He ultimately landed an Assistant Winemaker at Va Piano Vineyards for three years. The influence and support from the Washington wine industry like; Gilla, Justin Wylie of Va Piano, and Steve Brooks of Trust Cellars propelled Ryan forward to where he has found himself today owner and Winemaker at Kerloo Cellars. Oh...if you were wondering how they arrived at Kerloo for the name, it's the sound a crane (bird) makes and of course, Ryan's last name is Crane. — 9 years ago

Mark Ryan's wines are BIG. This is no exception. Wow! Cherry cola and cranberries with hints of tobacco. But BIG and yummy. Served with Moroccan spiced lamb chops.? Yes! — 9 years ago
@Bill Bender This Wind was either Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. You either loved it or hated it. It was Ryan's WOTN. I personally thought it was overshadowed by the Brunello. Ryan loved the sharp dark cherry on the initial palate with a tart herb finish. Definitely a superb wine which was incredibly lush due to its bottle age. I'm still flabbergasted Bill shared one of these bad boys with me!!!!!
3 had it in the top 3 and 3 had it in the bottom. There is no right or wrong when it comes to these high-quality bottles! This is truly an embarrassment of riches and I am blessed to be opening these bottle this evening. Thank you so much once again Bill! 👏🍷🍷👏
