v21. As soon as you open , pour and sniff…imagine crushing a bunch of Cabernet grapes in your hand in the barrel room of a winery, this is the smell you get opening this wine! This wine consistently over delivers.
Nose evolves to soft tobacco.
Luscious, juicy blackberry fruit. Smooth, spicy, velvety, chocolate finish. Great entertaining wine! — 3 months ago
Light bodied but had some tannin hiding in the back. Wonder if they did some whole cluster fermentation. — 3 months ago
Loved it. A very restrained and aromatic version of Pinot Noir. — 13 days ago
Crushed oyster shell, hay, lemon, lime, pear, a flowery thing, too. The palate is super dry, with a nice tension, some peary and lemony notes all along, an electric mouthfeel, a powerful mid palate that expands, and a very long finish with some grip, peary and lemony notes and a tiny salty touch. Solid furmint 👌🏻 — 2 months ago
Good! Total wines Portugal wine. Would get again. Deep fruit but not too dark. Balanced. — 4 months ago
Incredible nose & gorgeous dark inky purple. 2017 opening more w meal. $175 but normally $220 @ AB — 15 days ago
Orange tinged pale golden colour. Excellent pure nose of apricot, iodine and spices. Unctuous on the palate yet supported by a great backbone of acidity. Great depth of flavour and very satisfying length. A great wine by any standard. — 2 months ago
Great cheap buy from Total Wine. Pleasantly surprised how good this was and would get again. — 5 months ago
Jocholla
Earthy, blue fruit, smoked pork, olive brine, more alcohol on the nose than I recall, nice cigar smoke, dark ruby almost purple yet bright still, terroir driven with a sense of place. I feel like royalty with every sip. — 2 days ago
