Nice wine. Last had 2 years ago and probably should have let this one go a bit further but so it goes. Decanted for 2 hours which was the right call. Quite a bit of structure with some nice red fruit mixed with soy and earth. Long finish, with medium minus tannins and good acid. Would be one to try in 5-10 years. — 6 months ago
This is a very pale Texas wine with a very citric nose. Lemon leads the way, but there is lime and orange peel in play, too. A hint of lemon chess pie floats through the minerality along with an herbal note. The palate shows apricot and nectarine flavors filtering through the spicy greenness of the herbaceous essence of the wine. The acidity is zippy, but not overly so. Pairing this with a cool, green salad this summer is a no-brainer. — 4 years ago
Very good...and I'm not normally into whites like this. I really recommend this. — 6 years ago
A little “funkier” than I’m used to, but still smooth and easy. Not too sweet. — 7 years ago
My last of 3 rosés from Ron Yates winery (Cinsault, Grenache, Sangiovese). Another really nice TX rosé that I think is probably one of my favorites I’ve had from TX.
This and the Cinsault are tied in score for me, both being quite enjoyable. The Cinsault was a bit more “soft” and fleshy fruit skin driven. This Sangiovese is more full fruit on nose and palate. Lots of strawberry...strawberry cream, strawberry pie (I pick up even a note of crust/yeast) and peach skin. Really nice acidity (probably a tad less than the Grenache). Sweet nectar and agave. Stone fruit. Had the most “going on” than the others. Another nice one, @Ron Yates . — 8 years ago
This is a first, CVed to taste for dry red for Evan cooking but the nose was great, lean yet floral, with leanness all the through on palate. Acidic firm texture, will be good food wine — 5 months ago
Dairyman Vineyard sits in the southern alluvial plains of the Russian River Valley near the ocean, a region where cooling fog comes in through the Petaluma Gap in the morning and once again in the evening. Medium Ruby color, with aromas of berries, tea and spices. On the palate flavors of raspberry and tart black cherry with herb, cedar and cinnamon. Fine tannins, medium+ finish with lively acidity, good structure, ending with fruit and cedar spice. — 6 months ago

If you haven’t tried Texas wine but do have very high standards, you must check out Kuhlman Cellars! Award winning Roussane is bright, crisp, with lingering smoothness that will delight your palette. The best combination of French and California right here, but from TX!! — 7 years ago
Winner of the Houston Rodeo best Texas wine. Great blend. Balanced nicely structured. Cherry prominent. Lasts in palate. Good with New Braunfels Smoke House ham. — 8 years ago
Brownwood 1 May 2018. Very nice! — 8 years ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, red plums, raspberries, and dried herbs; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and pronounced intensity primary and secondary flavors of red currants, cherries, blueberries, black currant, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is complex and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 5 months ago

Great with our steak dinner — 7 years ago
Great Texas wine with a delicious tart cherry bouquet. Overall it’s pretty well balanced, light oak, tart cherry flavor, spicy, slightly acidic, and low tannins. The acid and spice are a bit out of balance but don’t let that discourage you it’s a delicious and unique wine. — 7 years ago
Vanilla and leather notes, creamy. Paired with beef tenderloin with squid ink fettuccini in white wine saffron sauce. Had at Pasteggiare Con Vino at ViniCulture: — 8 years ago
