Big and fruity but not overly sweet. More balanced than the nebbiolo. — 3 years ago

Really nice bottle of white — 9 months ago
Interesting flavors and complexity which will only become better with time - 2015 vintage. Nice spice with amazing peppery nose. Dark blackberry fruit on palette. Soft but flavorful tannins on the finish. Great with BBQ, any red meat off smoker, or Spanish dish. Could be best in another 3-5 years. — 3 years ago
40% Vidau (the old field blend) plus 45% Tempranillo and 15% Mazuelo, from a slope in the south of the Monte Yerga called Cuesta la Reina, from a big, 120-hectare plot that has been with the Escudero family for generations. It's fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel with a long maceration, matured in new French (70%) and American oak barrels for 18 months. this is a fun wine that crosses old world and new world. It’s got power, but it’s compact and not flabby. Needed some air to get moving — 4 years ago
