A perfect summer lunch. Great friends, a great bottle and superb food. If you are ever fortunate to be offered Vatan’s wines don’t hesitate. — 21 days ago
Aromas of citrus fruits, orchard fruit, flint/chalk and white flowers. Flavors of grapefruit, lemon, orange zest, fresh leafy herbs along with a distinct mineral/steely note. Long and very elegant finish. Bold and refreshing acidity. Well balanced, medium-minus body, and totally clean. Bright and electric! So delicious and a total crowd pleaser on a hot summer afternoon. Thanks to Kasey and Petey for opening this winner! — a month ago
Wow. I liked this more than most. Hard alkaline open. Citrus. Dry. Then a little juicy fruit on the way out. — a month ago
This is always a solid Sauvignon Blanc, drank last night with Matt — 14 days ago
Pale lemon color, with complex aromas of citrus, floral and flinty stone fruits. On the palate flavors of lemon, pineapple and peach with floral notes and slight herb spice. Long finish, vivid acidity, balanced, ending with citrus and stony mineral spice. — a month ago
Pineapple, soft minerality with a honey sweetness. Slightly off dry, (to my taste) and provides perfect structural balance throughout — a month ago
Writing tasting impressions from memory as it has been many months but wow this was a complex, layered yet lean #marlborough #sauvignonblanc. — 4 months ago
So we are tasting the 2005 side by side with the 2007. Both decanted and both are singing. This is a difficult call and I am giving both a 9.6 rating, not willing to rank one above the other. Deep and complex flavor profile. Incredibly smooth. Fantastic wine. — 21 days ago
Still quite nice with roasted chicken breast. — 8 days ago
Clear, pale gold in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary aromas of lemon, gooseberry, and passion fruit; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, medium alcohol, light body, and pronounced intensity primary flavors of honeydew, white peach, and lemon grass with a long finish. This wine is balanced and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it too. — a month ago

A nice and easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Fruit forward and nicely balanced.
Very typical for the region, which is nice to see.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. A good party wine too.
13% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
