Coco Kerrigan. Great stuff from the Passalacqua family — 12 years ago
Substance makes one of the best <$20 wines I’ve had in the last year. So I had expectations. Jeb Dunnuck rated this very high and I agree: a nose that reminds me of northern Rhône with a meaty flinty mineral quality complimented by violets and purple fruit. The wine has a lithe quality with dry tannins tending towards an earl grey tea in character and medium finish I wish was longer. Overall, a good wine. Is it 3x’s better than the cheaper bottle….I would say yeah…sure. 2018 vintage, Powerline vineyard. — 2 years ago
A very good sweet white wine — 6 years ago
A tasty porter with dark earthy notes and a touch of sweetness. Another great Michigan brewery! — 10 years ago
Sparkling Hay Shed Hill. Love these wines of Michael Kerrigan. — 12 years ago
Deep gold. Dried apricots on the inviting nose. Full-bodied palate confirms the nose adding balsa wood, and dried apple with a bit of savory tennis shoe note that blossoms into marzipan with air exposure. Acidity is low as is typical of the variety, but present enough to accompany a hearty meal. Finish is long and continues the palate. Very reminiscent of Condrieu in style and profile, though with a bit more weight. — 2 years ago
Two years after the last time I had the Boy ‘16 and it has matured a suspicious amount in that two years (while in a wine cooler). Nice, now dominated by caramelized burnt cherry, licorice, underbrush… which sounds good but finished inconsistent and astringent. Disappointing as I was fully expecting improvement. — 4 years ago
Michael Kerrigan - your wines always show such natural finesse. 5 years on, this is fresh as a daisy and pretty as ever. Cab Franc nurtured with care and love. — 9 years ago
I often think of Carignan as the punk rock varietal: unruly & prolific when young, but when old vine Carignan is carefully tended (and these farmers mispronounce it as Kerrigan, hence the funny name) it gains incomparable depths but is still unruly, sauvage, and profound (think Lou Reed...) — 11 years ago
