This is so good. A 40 gamay noir/60 cab franc blend with lots of style. Lovely red fruit, freshness all around with a *peck* of gravely soily whatever it is that makes these wines so fun. Leah Jørgensen is doing great things. — 6 years ago
Steve Peck- Classic Oakville Cabernet with undeniable appeal. I love the oak integration and the ripe... But not overripe, fruit character. #cabernetday — 10 years ago
Steve Peck- Bordeaux in a style I really appreciate... Ripe fruit, savory and elegant on the attack with a minerality on the finish. — 10 years ago
Steve Peck- This wine is firing on all cylinders. Dense attack for sure, but elegant across the middle and finish. Wow — 10 years ago
Beautifully fragrant. Peter piper picked a peck of pickled pepper. Yum yum '07 vintage — 12 years ago
Pronounced “Es-peck-tuckle dell Mont-sunt.” Located in so-called armpit of Spain’s prestigious wine country principally because of its rustic quality. Deep Ruby with intense fruit aromas and sweet floral spice, aged 15 mos in French oak, from a warm dry vintage. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and raspberry with currants, sweet cacao, floral & pepper spice. Fine big tannins, well balanced with long finish finesse, ending with herb and spice, adding slight alcohol warmth. — 4 years ago
Mind-altering aroma of rich, cherry cotton candy that lightly massages your tongue with a parting soft peck of spice. — 8 years ago
Steve Peck- One of the truly finest Bordeaux style wines I've tasted. The tannins are aged and soft, while the fruit shows a wonderful freshness. Concentrated and ripe with no rough edges. — 10 years ago
Steve Peck- If Paso Robles had a sister city among European wine regions, it could very well be Jumilla, Spain. Both are known for 50 degree diurnal temperature swings and calcareous soils. The wines are incredibly ripe and juicy if this example from Gil Family is typical. 70% Monastrell (aka, Mourvèdre), 30% Cabernet. This wine walks the line between the unctuous Rhone genre and the tightness of Bordeaux. Huge fruit volume with a rounded palate. Label declares 16%, but you would never guess it. I'm impressed. — 10 years ago
Steve Peck-Digging the old world with this Biandi Santi, the original Brunello. Medium body with a chalky structure, leather, and tobacco. Great food wine. Pass the prosciutto and pecorino please! — 10 years ago
Beautiful, just beautiful! Everything you'd want in a Franciacorta. Had at Peck in Milan, 3/11/15. — 11 years ago
Nose is aged Mosel Riesling. Some petrol. Hint of lemon peel. God’s Lemon perfume. Elegant. Light. Gorgeous. So fresh. Ethereal.
Palate hits you with dense meyer lemon soda. A kiss of acidity but a light kiss like a first date romantic lingering peck. Balanced. Delicious. Long. A kiss of honey from bees that pollenate lemon trees. Very clean. No botrytus. Coats the palate with aged Meyer lemon juice.
Wonderful. Very distinctive. Not a modern bomb of an auslese. A different ballgame. Totally different from the green apple-driven Mosel wines.

Offputting aroma slants the view of this delicious 16-year-old petite Sarah. It drank wonderfully -tannins rounded fruit still- there seamless. — 10 years ago
Steve Peck-A hint of raspberry shows through the framework of earthy minerality in this Premier Crus Burgundy and reminds me of why I enjoy Pinot Noir so much. — 10 years ago
Steve Peck- The Chilean winemaking community has really perfected the art of Carmenere. This variety is known for herbaceous characters and requires exceptional care in the vineyard to achieve the best results. This single vineyard offering I found on a recent trip to Chile is one of the best I've tried. Big, Bordeaux-like structure, with a touch of mint. Amazing with braised short ribs. — 10 years ago
Steve Peck- Great gumdrops! I really like this wine. Ripe fruit flavors with elegant structure. A legendary wine that actually lives up to its renowned reputation. — 10 years ago
