First had this as a barrel sample in 2014 and it was unbelievable then. Now several years in bottle, some of the stunning lushness has receded and a tart acidity has come along to balance the fruit for the long haul. Still very good, but I miss the velvety, juicy treasure this was pre-bottling. If you open it soon, give it 2-3 hours in the decanter so it can unfurl itself. — 24 days ago
I agree with John Howard’s review. Better than I expected for the price point. 75% cab 25% merlot. 12 months on French oak. 2016 vintage, 13.5%

Probably the best bottle of Cabernet I’ve had this year. Just fantastic. Roses and wet earth on the nose lead to black cherries and subtle cassis on the palate. The tannins are well-behaved and provide a sense of structure before gliding to a long, dusty finish. So good. — 24 days ago
A very enjoyable Brunello. Light bodied and smooth. Fruity with earth notes and red berries.
Light to medium Bodied with medium plus acidity.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.
Not my style, but I really enjoyed it.
14% alcohol by volume.

Star bright straw gold in the glass. Abundant nose of stone fruit and typically South African straw. Bright, medium-bodied palate confirms the nose adding a slight floral notes. Medium plus acidity and that straw-like earthy note make this classic SA SB a natural all-around food wine that’s just as good as an easy sipper. — 3 days ago
This is a great Gamay. Some complexity nice minerality, good dryness but not too dusty. After breathing it starts to round nicely but don't let it breathe more than 30-40 min as the tannins recede too much. Medium bodied bright but not sour or too much fruit just great balance.
