Victoria Park

South Australian Shiraz 2018

Color of dark purple. Nose of tobacco leaves, ripe berries, some lavender, a bit raspberry, and strength of alcohol. Taste is concentrated, silky, with subtle sweetness and zest, vanilla, leafy note, a bit cocoa. Aftertaste is also smooth with more zest, some strength of alcohol, and cocoa note. Round no edge, enjoy her now. — 2 days ago

Primitivo di Manduria 2019

Drank with Humbolt Co turkey sandwiches from Cherry St Kitchen on picnic at Blue Hole Park near Lake Hudson. Excellent rose and pairing. Wine was a gift from dad from Easton, MD. One of the best roses I’ve had. Best with food. — 12 days ago

Château Magdelaine

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Smooth, structured, dark fruits, a bit of earth. Merlot is showcased, but ready to drink. At Firewood in Park City for anniversary dinner. Perfect pairing with food, typical French complement to all on the plate, but particularly the ny strip and a bavette. AWM — a month ago

Le Coste

Ripazzo Lazio Procanico Malvasia

This stuff is so delicious. My head is pounding this morning because I also drank other natty wines, cloudy beers, and crappy beers; but this stuff was the winner of birthday celebration in the park! — a month ago

Castellare di Castellina

Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2018

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2018 Chianti Classico is an absolutely joyous wine. Bright red cherry fruit, tangy acids and sweet floral notes all run a translucent, super-expressive Chianti Classico that quite frankly knocks it out of the park. The 2018 is so delineated, so vibrant and just so incredibly delicious. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. The oak needs a bit of time to fully integrate, but it already has over the last few months. This is what Sangiovese (called Sangioveto here) and Chianti Classico are all about. Best of all, the 2018 is a screaming value. Don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2020) — 3 hours ago

Domaine Paul Pernot et Ses Fils

Les Pucelles Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Vanilla, citrus on the nose, chewy, silky mineral and apple adds while drinking. Had with K at Firewood in Park City for our anniversary. Paired with crab cakes and and heirloom tomato salad. Near perfect with the dill and citrus in the crab cakes. What a nice start to a meal. — a month ago
