Over 200 varieties in blend, says the label., 6.8% abv, unfiltered. Website says Dungeness is a single orchard blend. A still cider, little head or bubbles on pour. Light golden brown in color, very good clarity. Baked apple aromas, reminded me of an apple pie or cobbler with cinnamon, but that's my brain searching for cinnamon where there is none. Buttery mouthfeel, malic and citric acidity. Dry and really nuanced flavor profile. Tart malic finish and aftertaste with mild bitterness. No apparent seed tannins or astringency. This is what really fine apple wine tastes like, uncarbonated. A surprisingly unique and pleasurable experience, worth trying once, even if it's not a style for you. Kudos, Alpenfire! — 8 years ago
"Our Fall seasonal blend, tastes like a walk though the orchard and in the woods. A crisp cider with a bright apple core, earthy resinous notes and the warmth of crushed ginger for a hint of heat. Made from a base of organic Washington and heirloom apples with fir tips harvested from the forest at Finnriver and organic ginger. This small batch release was aged five months in straight rye American oak whiskey barrels and blended with medium toast staves to call forth sweet holiday notes of vanilla and bourbon."

Etienne DuPont Cuvée Colette. This has the nose of a Pinot Noir- very red-fruited, but with baked orchard fruit at the same time. Toasty bread and crystallized honey notes, minerally. Really in love with the nose but the palate is weird. Bubbles are a bit aggressive. Like most aggressive I've had in a cider. — 10 years ago
Orchard fruit, minerality, apple cider started to dominate as it opened up. — 2 years ago
Really enjoyed this one, liked the slight berry taste to it. — 8 years ago
This is definitely my favorite seasonal flavor! The hops gave a interesting level that other fruit flavors can't add. So sad it's hard to get or I'd buy this year round — 8 years ago
Maybe too much barrel for me, but good lord is the fruit pretty — 9 years ago

Refreshing, sweet, balanced apple. — 10 years ago
My bottle is labeled "Gran Malvasia 2016". On the nose, this is apple orchard or maybe a peach orchard where the fruit isn't ripe yet... On the palate, for me, this is a russetted golden apple... One of those rare cider varieties deep in the orchard... Apple schnapps, dry peach, sage, mineral... Dry in the mouth... Medium acidity... The finish is long and becomes buttery as time passes... This really is outstanding seven years after the vintage. — 3 years ago

Extremely sweet with just a slight hint of acidity. Feeling like a proud Vermonter. — 9 years ago
This is the greatest Cider producer in the world. Jacques is making "next level" ciders. This one comes from an ancient apple orchard in the pristine Alps. — 10 years ago
