Pinot Noir from Sevastopol in Crimea, to celebrate data-driven report launch in Moscow, at South Restaurant. Spicy, tannins. With duck carpaccio and braised beef ribs — 6 years ago
A surprise blind tasting at the end of our meal at Guy Savoy. The somm Andrew Hurley (merci beaucoup!!) blinded me on this one boy was I so wrong! Orange blossom, walnut paste, saffron, ginger candy, cinnamon, nutmeg, fig, etc. etc. And yet so fresh! Great acidity. Great balance despite >400g/L RS. I thought it was like maybe 1976. Oh boy I was 76 years off! Such a treat. This is probably the oldest wine I’ve ever had. — a year ago

Still nervous after the long trip to Ukraine, but already incredible. Top orange wine, charged with potential. Honey, ginger, forgotten apple that oxidized, dried apricot, and dried medicinal herbs. Good acidity, powerful tannin. Definitely, a wine to buy by cases and drink occasionally to witness its development. By the way, this is my first Ageno of even vintage. — 2 years ago
Tastes like a traditional German beer. Crisp and refreshing. Highly recommend — 5 years ago
