Vintage 2016 | a rather sophisticated Fronsac, with the characteristics of a nobleman. Dark colour. Nice summerfruit in smell. Sultry in taste, especcialy after 24 hours aeration. A star with #foiegras and a very impressive sweet wine coming from #california and the famous #sinequanon Unctuous is a the adjective for this wine. Rich coffee, fig, pineapple and noble rot aromas dominate the wine. The only thing that would make it better for me would be a touch more acid. A rather perfect and smooth Italian red - hefty province with a great mouth feel. Mature earth notes on the nose that lead to a wonderful earthy and subdued red fruit glass. A smooth Italian that proximates a French nobleman - with a jammy note right at the end. Wonderful serious red! Pairs well with a nice meal or a light snack…sip to enjoy but buy a second bottle just in case! — 2 years ago
