York Creek Vineyard Spring Mountain District Tinto Red Wine 2015

Very fun wine Not your typical CA/Sonoma/Napa bottle. Drank nicely while making and then eating grilled pizza. — 2 years ago

Citrine California Chardonnay 2018

My platonic ideal of a not-too-oaky Chardonnay. Smooth and just a touch fruity. Drank on an early spring night with Sakeeb while sitting on our terrace. — 4 years ago

Elivette Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2005

Another Wednesday Wine Committee in the books. Great hosting by @Bill Makens . 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine all served blind.

My co-red WOTD. Perfumed with sweet oak, candied black cherries and cocoa dusted dates. Youthful. Big structure in place but not overly gripping. Dusty covered blackberries, plum and peppercorn, showing a hint of leather. Gorgeous. I called this late ‘00s/early 2010 Napa Cab.

Old Vine Zinfandel 2018

2nd bottle following a Carlisle Dry Creek Valley; brighter red in glass; lighter red fruit aromatics; flavor profile of deadly spring red fruits; solid QPR — 3 years ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

What a perfume... Martha McClellan and Wesley Steffens worked in tandem to craft this inaugural release. The fruit is sourced from two estate vineyards farmed on top of Spring Mountain, as well as the Beckstoffer Melrose Vineyard in Rutherford, CA. The resulting wine shows very focused yet fresh and vibrant aromatics, polished tannins with great tension, smooth texture throughout the wine ending with a very pleasing and lengthy finish. This wine will drink very well upon release, as well will continue to reward with aging in the cellar for many years to come. — 4 years ago

Ode to Lulu California Old Vine Rosé Blend

#Wine Beautiful floral delicate aroma. A breath of spring with a lovely taste of raspberries and grapefruit. Lightly acidic and just perfectly crisp for these hot summer days.

#Pairing Pizza! Though, I think this would be a great match for roasted chicken.

Pours a very pale gold with a hint of peach. Mousse is persistent even 15 mins after pour (yeast protein contribution to bubble structure?)
Nose is fully Spring with apple blossom 🌸, and perfumed skin, hint of spicy roots as ginger/tumeric and some pear.
Fleshy/soft texture.
