Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2011
2011 vintage. Fairly aromatic and good color for a decade-old wine. a separation of flavors on the palate tho with the traditional pinot flavors disappearing down the back of the gullet and earthy/dirty flavors (more Bordeaux vs Burgundy) concentrated and depositing themselves just behind the tip of the tongue. We had the 2013 Vintage on 9/28-29/23. A nice Bordeaux blend; 84% Cab Suav. Blackberry, plum, cedar, menthol on the bouquet and palate. All tannins are smoothed out. Full bodied and fruit forward. Very good — 7 months ago

We had the 2014 Vintage on 9/30-10/1/22. Our PN in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. There were tastes of black cherry, plum and baking spices. Well balanced, medium bodied with a smooth texture. A real good wine from Moshin — 2 years ago

We had the 2017 Vintage on 11/11-12/23. This is a real good PN with tastes of black cherry, rhubarb, vanilla, cinnamon and baking spice. Well balanced and a smooth mouthfeel. Very good. Would buy more. Other similar wines had more sassafras and cola. Not so much here — 6 months ago

We had the 2016 Vintage on 3/26-27/33. A good RRV PN. Scents of black cherry and cinnamon. Black cherry, rhubarb and Asian spices on the palate. It really smoothed out on the second night. A good wine for my birthday — a year ago
