Smells like one black and one red twizzler stuck up your nose.
Nice texture- thick and silky, whole milk. Not incredibly complex but it has a nice balance. — 2 years ago

2015 Vintage... Already medium garnet in color. Cherry, milk chocolate, vanilla, mulch nose. Medium+ acidity, Nutty cherry initial palate, not a lot more unfortunately. Medium+ bodied. High alcohol (14.5 ABV). Of course this will improve, but unsure as to how much.

An excellent, smooth wine with floral notes. A little less powerful than other vintages I have tried from Lynch-Bages. Cassis, blackberries, blueberries, milk chocolate, a hint of vanilla, and mushrooms. — 2 months ago
2019 vintage. Underbrush and certain amount of weediness on the nose. Medium body. Full color. That Graves/Pessac-Léognan milk chocolate texture. Flush and full mouthfeel. Gliding finish. Unexpected balance of fruit and tannins in a pop and pour price range. More oomph (generally) than Malartic Lagravière but less than Chevalier. Drink now? Yes. Drink in 25 years? Probably not. Likely has a end game of 15 years with the sweet spot in the (shocker) 5-8 year range. Picked up at Costco and price was $32 USD. Affordable Graves/P-L not the easiest BDX to source. This was firing from the get go. 7.22.24. — 4 months ago

Besides having a great, cool label - Herman Story wines are so spectacular. This is not your standard “red blend” & the Tempranillo/Petit Verdot give a great complexity. Easily paired w/ a huge range of food. — 3 years ago

The fruit-forward and charming 2022 Shiraz Mother's Milk offers up a wild ride of dark cherry and coffee bean aromas with a dark, earthy tinge. It's well-pitched, fresh and vibrant, with a supple core of tannins that fits the overall package of red berry flavor well before the gentle finish. $20.00 (Angus Hughson, Vinous, November 2024) — 21 days ago
