Ok wow this REALLY grew on me. As it warms up it becomes sparkling cherries. Big fan here 😄🥂Wow, loved this. Black/red fruits, raisinated, baked, fruits, no new oak, high booze, medium plus tannins and medium acid. Paired great with bbq chicken. I could have mistaken for amarone/ripasso, but this likely has more tannin. Well balanced. Need more! — 9 years ago
Great drinker..had with salmon..i feel med body, creamy, small amount of alcohol..lower booze. Honestly great mix between french chardonnay and big napa oaky chardonnay (cooler climate?) ...elegant, not terribly complex. — 9 years ago

Grateful for having visited this charming mom and pop domaine last summer and for finding room in the suitcase to bring this friend home. I guess there was some thought to wait but so it goes — no complaints here. Fruits have mellowed significantly in 16 months’ time if my booze-addled memory can be trusted (it can’t). Grip is getting grippier. I think we’re out of the young and ripe phase. Time to tuck these 17s away til the next pandemic. — 6 years ago

1/6 - Ok turkey weekend has passed, i’ve mostly sobered up, and time to recap the meal’s booze! Started with a sparkling chenin that gave us both the bread of champers and the full tropical fruit of the chenin. Party started! 🎉 — 9 years ago

Sweet, dark fruit with lots of earthy spice. Booze in a good way. Great value below $30 — 9 years ago
Unique. Just the right amount of heat. Sippable for the booze content. — 10 years ago
2008 vintage. Strong with the booze at first, but had a great dynamic flavor on the tongue. Very drinkable — 7 years ago
Spices burn on the first sniff, but fruit and almost sweet-smelling secondarily. Flavor reminiscent of Kentucky bourbon and gin. Full bodied, energetic, healthy, vibrant, and sturdy by still lithe. Has a sweet whiskey-like taste but is, of course, really dry, bracing, enervating. The fruitiness with the booze sweet burn was great with lamb! — 8 years ago
Quite lovely. Booze on nose, cherry oak. — 9 years ago
A cheery mix of coconut, unripe pineapple, and tannins. I love this Monterey wine. It reminds me of the old days, of a college party with music, booze, frat guys, and Malibu Rum. — 9 years ago
13.5% booze, about $12, purchased. 2014 vintage is prettier than '13, with more ripe cherry and a little more grip. Extremely pleasant table wine, and very good value. — 10 years ago
Great wine, bold but balanced, fantastic with a steak. Just a hint of booze — 10 years ago
