Aromatics have a lot of lemon, some white fruit but also still a clear oaky feel to it. The wine is powerful, full bodied, good acidity, nice richness and the balance is good but there is a slight alcohol dominance on the finish. Nice bottle but not great. And not the most expensive Grand Cru but I will take many Premiers crus before that, shows there are no short cuts in Burgundy.

Nez assez aromatique de fruits blancs, du citron et encore pas mal boisé. C’est puissant en bouche, beaucoup de tout, fruit, acidité, richesse mais l’équilibre est précaire avec une finale un peu alcooleuse et chaude. Bien mais pas un niveau de GC. — 4 years ago

Much better and more open then the last bottle I opened, nice fruit, good structure and balance, very good.

La dernière bouteille étant un peu fermée, j’ai carafé une petite heure avant de servir, sans être le plus expressif, il s’est révéler plus ouvert que la dernière.
Un fruit assez généreux pour le millésime, belle structure et texture intéressante, un vin assez sérieux encore mais qui en donne pas mal maintenant, belle longueur, c’est bien fait. 91 — 2 years ago

Le vin est pas mal dans son peak à mon avis et se marie tres bien à l’agneau. Un 2007 qui est adorable en ce moment. Du côté finesse du pinot probablement question du millésime car je ne m’attendais pas à ca d’un Cailles. Fruits rouges et noirs mélangés avec des épices, du sous-bois et un peu de terre. It's clear that it holds up super well! The bouquet combines fruity notes of pear, hint of orange blossom, brioche notes and almonds in complete coherence. It's digestible and long in the mouth. It can be drunk well in all circumstances without leaving a headache.

To pair with a creamy Risotto with Scallops and fresh basil, herbs, and the first Zucchini’s and baby yellow Tomatoes of our garden. A bit of a spritz/bubbles feel at the opening that goes away after a while, nose also has lemon and clearly some buttery notes and of course some oak. The palate is good with decent enough acidity to support the richness and density of the wine, with time in the glass and warming up slightly, it is a delicious chardonnay, fresh enough with some salinity also, still oaky for my taste but not too bad and enjoyable. 90 and close to 91 pts

Un côté un peu effervescent avec du gaz en ouverture mais heureusement cela s’estompe. Un nez de citron avec bien sur du beurre et du bois. La bouche a assez d’acidité pour supporter la richesse et la rondeur, assez ample et large mais aussi avec un côté salin et frais, surtout avec du temps et de l’air, au final c’est bien, un peu boisé à mon gout mais pas mal du tout. 90 voire 91.
