I was curious to see how this Caymus held up over the years given that I found it (and some of its siblings) at some small-time ‘mom & pop’ liquor store out in the ‘burbs. I must say it drank quite nicely, although it took a long time to get there. Opened it up at 7:30p and sipped it all of the way until about 10p, upon which I’d say it had fully opened up. The dark fruit was there but not in a vibrant or youthful sense (as one could expect). As such, the dust and the menthol and the brambly, mushroom-laden, tilled earth ruled the evening with baked blackberry cobbler to carry us through. — 8 years ago
