Fairly thin, tart and mildly dry. Good acidity. Good for sipping or with strong flavors — 8 years ago
Well worth the wait... very nice wine. A great example of Rosso di Montacino — 10 years ago
Definitely in the top third of Barbera's I've had. Nice fruit that would have gone well with salametto and parmigiano reggiano. Instead, we were grilling flank steak and chicken and thinking about the ones who left their blood and breath on foreign soil so that we could have the freedoms we enjoy. If that doesn't put a lump in your throat, then you have some reading to do. — 11 years ago

Still evolving after 45 min. Getting richer, soft tannins, this 2010 still has some years left to develop. — 11 years ago
Great Barbera. 13%. Vine & Table. — 12 years ago
Mazzoni's 2015 Ghemme Ai Livelli is gorgeous. Floral and savory notes infuse the bouquet with notable presence. Light on its feet, yet wonderfully layered, the 2015 is super expressive right out of the gate. There's quite a bit of complexity, while the tannins are nicely mellowed by time. That makes for an incredibly appealing wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2022)

Not too Puckery like other nebbiolos. Good balance. Great wine — 8 years ago
Probably the best $16 bottle of wine I can remember having. A lot of the excitement and depth of a Barolo but softer, lighter, and more nimble with an emphasis on the floral notes. Definitely benefited from being open an hour +. Bumped rating up after another bottle. Just amazing, regardless of price. Purchased at MWC — 10 years ago
If you let it breathe it will open up nicely - this is a very easy drinking wine — 11 years ago
A fun wine with a nose of funky earth, black fruit, tar, leather. A deep ruby color, deeper than 72% Sangiovese would lead you to believe, the other 28% is Merlot. The wine drinks nicely displaying good acidity and a very silky, long-lasting tannic structure: an excellent food wine. — 12 years ago

Beautiful value Nebbiolo. Crisp acidity. Grippy texture. Perfect food wine. Fresh and tart. Great house wine if you can find it. At 20 bucks a steal. — a month ago
