Quite deep ruby , garnet rim . Spicy , earthy , dark plum , cherry, cassis . On the palate dark fruits , cassis , plum , cherry with grafite and some wood spices , slightly sweet fruited finish . Dry. Flavors of baked & ripe berry fruit, black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, cinnamon, clove, peppercorn, vanilla. Rich, chewy tannins.

High novelty factor. Tannins and acid still hanging around which leads me to believe it was fairly big and unruly in its youth. Smooth and earthy, evolved fruit. Maybe a bit pruney but I find this typical of Greek reds. Paired wonderfully with spicy pasta bolognese. — a month ago
