La Vite (LaVite) Lucente Sangiovese Blend 2022

Really great wine. Crowd pleaser. Bigger and fruit and oak but decent enough balance. I liked it. — 3 days ago

Riserva Montesodi Castello di Nipozzano Chianti Rùfina Sangiovese 2012

This ages so well. A balance of mature and fresh: cigars, tomato leaf, eggplant (first time I think I ever said that!), cassis.
Finely structured tannins, the acids have mellowed a little but still very present.
Who knows how long this one could go but it's a great time to drink it now!

Rèmole Rosso Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2023

Tuscan Villa on the label. Looks opulent. Wine is a pretty color. Garnet. Aroma is rose hip tea, hibiscus drinks and damask rose. Flavors are nice. Floral and sensuous. Maybe a bit flinty. Fruit driven, but not sweet. Cherry pits. Hint of Russian black currant and cherry flavored tea. Nice cedar streak. Hint of fresh ground pepper corns. This has character. It’s a great deal for such a defined Sangiovese. — a month ago

Riserva Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2021

Really intense structure and firm tannins. Would do well with another 5+ years aging. Displays wild cherry, earthy/tar quality, licorice and wood influence. — a month ago

Lucente La Vite Toscana SuperTuscan Blend 2021

Powerful aroma including cassis blackberry and cherry, oak vanilla. Chalk mineral. 30 min, much better, but not necessary for deep decanting. Almost 2019 Lucente 21 @6500, Bic - Oren I G, 250922-250924 — 9 months ago

Massovivo Toscana Vermentino 2018

This Italian white has a most interesting presence in the glass. The pale yellow liquid has a nose which is quite herbaceous, showing notes of sage, anise and oregano. The palate brings forth some citrus fruit - Meyer lemon - and a boatload of minerals and salinity. There is quite a racy acidity, too. Like a good Vermentino should, the wine leaves a sense of the seashore on the finish. — 4 years ago

Prugnolo Rosso di Montepulciano Sangiovese Blend 2023

Medium ruby , wide light pink ruby rim . Quite aromatic on the nose with ripe red cherry , hints of thyme , rosemary and mint , with some wet stones hints . On the palate this has good freshness with vibrant acidity , red cherry and cut herbs along with a light stony , mineral character . Ripe , quite light tannins and good raspberry , herbal tinged length . Well made , vibrant and fresh . From now and over the next 3-4 years whilst it retains its youthful fruitiness . — a month ago

Riserva Sotto Casa Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Fresh and elegant vino nobile, lots of cherry flavours, a very good wine, but a bit ‘light’ with the bistecca fiorentina, probably needs a bit more time. Nevertheless one of the best producers in the appelation — 10 months ago
