Brought to our home as an offering from a friend - really nice of him. The wine was good. Not sure of the 2008 vintage in Italy. Mushrooms and muted fruit came through on the nose. Regretfully, the juice didn't give up much on the palette. Good texture, but lacks the velvety presence that I often experience with Sangiovese. Needs more time to put on some weight.

Decanted early in the dinner, rustic, earth balanced with abundant red fruit, slightly jammy, excellent balance, mouthwatering finish
