First experience with a sparkling Scheurebe and impressed by its Riesling like profile with a cleaner albeit tad less complex texture and mouth feel and shorter finish. Good acids to go with our kids selection of Grotto pizza for New Year's Eve dinner! AA 13 German lot — 4 years ago
Lime, grapefruit, saline, white rock, and a mild petrol finish - like drinking wine through a garden hose, in a good way. — 7 years ago
From the small Grosse Lage vineyard of Berncasteler Doctor, this Kabinnet tips the sweetness scale at medium dry for my taste, yet still manages to be delicate. Enticing nose of orchard and tropical fruits, honeysuckles, with touches of flinty mineral note. Very long finish. I think it needs at least another 4-5 years to show properly.
Interesting notes about the winery: it’s named after the widow of Dr. Thanisch (Wwe.). The original winery was divided into 2 equal properties in the 1990s: Wwe. H.Thanisch – Erben Thanisch and Wwe. H.Thanisch – Erben Müller-Burggraef. — a year ago

First time trying and surprisingly it’s just what I was looking for. Normally I drink the Dr. Loosen’s. Wanted something different not real sweet, I’d say semi-sweet crispy and not tart. — 7 years ago
Lazure… quite the allure… pure… but not too pure… boredom is the disease… wine is the cure — 2 years ago
A little funky but precise, quite mineral and very delicious. — 6 years ago

Comparing both side by side. Left is Dijon 777 clone and right is F105 German clone. They are same year, same soil, same wine maker, same process. And uncorked and poured simultaneously. Color is almost identical. But flavor and aroma is really different. The 777 opened faster, is more aromatic, brighter cherry, a bit floral. The F105 is deeper, earthier, and has a different fruit characteristic, not sure what it is though. Sour cherry with a hint of balsamic? — 24 days ago
