NV | Undervalued cremant from Luxemburg | Made from chardonnay, pinot blanc and pinot noir | aged 15 months sur lie | I suppose a lot of people leave this cremant on the shop shelves, especcialy as it is about 25% more expensive then French cremants. They are wrong. It is a fresh, vibrant sparkling. Good on itself and versatile for culinary use. We had it yesterday with a veggie pecan salad and on sunday morning with our scrambled eggs. Yes, they do, and I think I even had some in my luxembourg tasting. They are most certainly very nice wines.... Only got 3 (2010 and 2011) of this house, but they were worth forgetting them for some time. :-)

That’s like seeing an old friend —For many years my local store carried this Luxembourg wine, & was always impressed by its build, as you say Reisling on the nose but with a thicker, Chardonnay mouthfeel. Closest analogy is that of an Alsatian Auxerrois ( kinda makes sense...)

wasn’t expecting a great qpr work class Riesling. Fruit is fresh orange and tangerine. Great mineral spine. Juicy with great acidity and maybe just a hint of rs. Finishes with a satisfying dollop of petrol. Not peak yet. — 8 years ago
