Delish Brittany cider — 7 years ago
Drinking beautifully at 12 years. No chemicals used in the now 70 year old Melon vineyards. Lemon and lime peel, chamomile and a certain unctuousness. Round and very bright palate with a creamy feel from long lees aging with bâtonnage. Nearing its peak. Applaud this Muscadet Sèvre et Maine AOC wine from Edouard Massart. (super pairing with Ottolenghi roasted celery root steaks!) — 4 years ago
Les chemins de Sève, terre d'aygues, principauté d'orange, 2015, Luc Massart. Grenache, syrah and alicante.
Blood orange, garrigue, olive, strawberry, blackberry and a bit of heat. The plate is very well done with a strong acid backbone, some matter, some bright red fruit, a soft touch on the side but drying tannins in mid palate. Long rather dry finish with a bright fruit. This is a cool wine! — 5 years ago
