2015 vintage. This is the cab with (seemingly) a little Franc and Merlot (and maybe PV?) mixed in showing usual/consistently darker/blue fruit flavors than anyone else in Napa. Heavy body and plenty of power. Nice nose but a little disjointed currently. Missing a linking verb but should find one in the next five years. This wine is in zero rush and gives zero you know what's. Well made but just needs some alone time to work through some things-just like the rest of us. Could see this vaulting to a 9.4 in 5-10 years. — 3 years ago
Very good wine. Needs a bit more time, but really linking what Kuhlman puts out. — 7 years ago
All the qualities one would expect from this type of wine. Depth, Beautiful aromatic notes of red cherry / strawberry still perennial, woody notes of oak barrels. And a whole range of aromatics linking the two: musk, undergrowth, mushroom. The finish unfolds on well-integrated woody tannins.
— 5 years ago
