Brunate - Le Coste Barolo Nebbiolo 2001

From back when their fruit from the Le Coste MGA was blended with Brunate. These days, the Le Coste fruit goes in to “Tre Tine” along with Ravera and Cannubi San Lorenzo.

Opened about two hours prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2001 Brunate-Le Coste pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Bing cherry, tar, roses, some varnish, cedar chest, some cool spices and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and quite round. This bottle shows the generosity of the vintage and yet, it seems to want even more time in the cellar. One can certainly drink now through 2061.

This stuff is so delicious. My head is pounding this morning because I also drank other natty wines, cloudy beers, and crappy beers; but this stuff was the winner of birthday celebration in the park! — 6 years ago

Coste della Sesia Croatina 2015

Probably the best croatina I’ve ever had! Okay, prob the only one I’ve ever had. Another Lou classic, earthy, funky, tart cherries, beautiful ruby color and barnyard nose. — 6 years ago

Uvaggio Coste della Sesia Rosso Nebbiolo Blend 2016

vintage 2016 | 80% nebbiolo, 15% vespolina, 5% croatina. Ten years old and fully alive and kicking. Brownish colour, tertiairy tones in smell. Very good balance, integrated tannines. I loved the bouquet: stinky in the positive way, spices, stewed fruit. A hint of manure. A Piëmonte nebbiolo that I like. Paired with a lasagne. — 4 months ago

Coste Taurasi Aglianico 2016

A strong and powerful Taurasi. Has plenty of maturation potential, required 45 min to 1 Hour to smothen. Good nose, palate still Drury after 10 years, black berries. Additional attributes of dark chocolate. Great experience, was worth waiting. — 6 months ago
