Gorgeous and silken, the 2019 Generation Dix-Neuf is a ball of beautiful, silky, concentrated Pinot Noir. Savory and smoky, it seems effortless, although it's clearly been anything but based on the impeccable quality. It caresses the palate. There's intensity and density here but no weight. Pretty much any chat-neuf will be delightful, and this was certainly wonderful.
It had the classic stone fruit and garrigue nose, clean tannins, medium mouthfeel with great length. It paired beautifully with our cognac and Dijon beef stew. — 2 years ago
