What a way to wrap up our anniversary trip to Las Vegas! A wonderful vintage brut nature Cava in a delightful place: Firefly, a delightful tapas bar. And it’s half price Wednesday. — 3 years ago
Ritche vineyard chardonnay.
Pop and pour. A light golden color. On the nose: subtle notes of lemon, apricot, nutty vanilla. Taste: orange peel, lemon, honey, vanilla toast with a medium finish and medium plus acidity keeping it crisp and fresh.
Enjoying with the fresh Langoustines, red shrimp, and raw crudo!

One of the best wines and Cabernets in the tasting. Made by Sam Kaplan. 95-97 with 10 years of proper cellaring.
It is blended from the following sites; Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard, Weitz Vineyard, and Oakville Ranch Vineyard. Not inexpensive $300.
The name, Memento Mori, is taken from an ancient Latin philosophy that reminds us of our mortality and the inevitability of death. So, forgo patience, I guess?

They are the King’s of Champagne for a reason.
Beautiful mousse. Both yellow & white stone fruits, tropicals, lime & lemon zest/pulp, green & red apple, cream to whipped cream, ginger skin, grey volcanics-limestone minerals, white spice, taunt chalk, baguette crust, sea fossils/foam, white spring flowers, yellow lilies, excellent acidity, balance, structure, tension & elegance for days with a finish that ends balanced on fruit & minerality.

If this is the OSA Pinot Grigio that I got from the Yard House in Las Vegas, it was very good. Stronger than normal but so light and easy to drink — 11 days ago
@delectable This is their Barolo Cannubi, not the 1752.
Another producer visit I enjoyed. They opened many older library vintages that day for us.
This example rides the fence of older & more modern styles of Barolo.
Mid exaction & tannins. Shows some restrained brawn, roundness and elegance for such a young Barolo.
