Pretty solid Bordeaux blend! The CabSav and Merlot blend work well together. Has a kind of Cab Franc finish with the traditional Bordeaux elements of earth and a strong, commanding finish. Easy price point but sublime Big French red experience: Viva lá France! — 4 years ago

Wonderful. At Bar Bludorn with Lala Caroline and Austin for restaurant weeks 2025. Light, acid, fruit, body, just what we like in a gamay. 13.5%. — a year ago
Guigal considers this Saint Joseph lieu-dit to be their fourth Lala wine. As the name suggests this plot was once owned by the hospital and is a steep slope opposite the Hermitage mountain. It sports dark ripe fruits that are elegantly tamed by Guigal’s famous oak programme. Bursting with aromas and flavour. Dark berries, spice and really luxurious roundness. — 3 years ago

The amazing Terroir of Bordeaux never disappoints - smooth, subtle red fruit hangs on the back with some tobacco, earth and a hint of dark chocolate on the finish. Pair with a good red meat meal and enjoy the first class transport to the old world…Viva Lá Bordeaux! — 5 years ago
the more lala i try the more i like then young. open and consumed over four hours this stayed fresh throughout. thinking, if i want the savory meat tinged aspects of fine syrah i’ll crack a hermitage rather than age guigal’s efforts..... maybe — 7 years ago

A local Sonoma choice while in Concord, CA. Shale on the nose and smooth lemon citrus on the taste buds. Everything I want my Chardonnay to be. Enjoy with Lala and Nonna at Paso del Rio over a cheese, pickles, and fig plate. Bacchus approves — 2 years ago

Partnership w/Jim Clendenen at Au Bon Climat. Barbara Barham & Richard Mendelsohn planted 5 acres of Pinot on Lala Panzi Ranch in the RRV. They had similar visions on Pinot’s & thus led to this partnership. Aged in predominately new Allier & Vosges wood. Aromas of berry fruits with dusty earthy nose. On the palate, berry flavors come forth with hints of tea & spice. Medium+ length, fine tannins, ending with earthy mushroom character, it was good, lost its luster, at its prime now! — 6 years ago
Magnum! Found this at a great price at a wine store in Sendai, Japan. Could not pass this up - red meat and blue cheese on the menu to open this old friend up and enjoy. Viva lá France in the heart of Japan! Trustworthy old world big French Bordeaux - open it up, let it breathe and even decant if you can - lovely and what you expect...big bold flavor, earthy and a tobacco like finish. — 7 years ago

Drank right after the Delas Lala. Oak presence much more notable here. Some heat. Felt a bit out of balance vs the Syrah. — 3 months ago
