Have had the 2009 vintage twice, in 2024 at a tasting and in early 2025. The first was the best of the tasting, and the second was a fine compliment to spring leg of lamb. dark fruit and smooth tannins. $68 when purchased in 2024. — a month ago
1985 Cru Borgeois from Bel Air Lagrave. Tobacco leaf, cigar smoke, really subtle leather. Very pretty. — 3 months ago

Very very good. Red fruit. Chocolate. Chalk. Well balanced. — 3 years ago
Fresh biscuit, almond paste, mushroom. Ginger spice. New oak regime. Creamy rich mouthfeel with delicious oak, hitting on the mid-palate with effortless transitions into a honey-ginger gelato finish. Spiciness carries through. I want to drink this with Thanksgiving. 75% Sav Blanc, 25% Semillion. — 6 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2016 pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: cassis, blackberries, raspberries, red plum, tobacco, a touch of bell pepper, earth, old wood, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A classic expression of Bordeaux during a period where the lines between New and Old World have been blurred. This is tasty and showing well in its early drinking window. Drink now through 2036+. — 5 days ago
