Reddish in color with light intensity.
Fruity nose of cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak and chocolate notes.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with red bing cherries, currants, raspberries, sweet strawberries, spices, red candy, light wood, chocolates, sweet tobacco, light herbs and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Pinot Noir from Santa Rita Hills in California. Easy drinking and engaging. Elegant and fruit forward.
Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel, and feels like a California Pinot with a touch of Burgundy.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Pinot Noir grapes were aged for 9 months in French oak barrels. A small production of only 8 barrels.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

So nice and soft with a very sentimental dinner I had alone except for my memories. Went easily with my late husband’s mother’s recipe for “gravy” with meatballs and sausage and my own homemade Italian bread still warm from the oven. — 4 years ago

2022/5/10 with mushroom Demi-glacé omelette, etc. A well-balanced melange of citrus and pit fruit, stone, honey, and woody, lightly toasted spice. A touch of sweet and sour - flesh and acid backbone. This price for a Chalonnaise villages would have been a non-starter 10 or even 5 years ago, but here we are. Obviously it doesn’t have the depth or intensity, but very satisfying. — 4 years ago

Dark cherry, blueberry, licorice and spice on the finish. Bigger style of Brunello. — 5 years ago
Last vintage from Bressler, grapes going to Anomaly vineyards now. Was on the customer list at the start for a few years and still have 01 and 02 (popped an 02 a year ago and it was great) in the cellar. Grabbed some 2014s at a great price. For Napa, Bressler was always worth seeking...premium valley floor fruit, Mia Klein winemaker, and under $100 release price.
1 hour decant (little sediment). A splended inky dark magenta color. On the nose: floral, sandlewood, black cherry and plum, cedar, vanilla marshmallows. Taste: Elegant and smooth, soft tannins with blackberry, blueberry, chocolate, with a spicy cedar medium plus finish....ready to go another 15 years. — 6 years ago

Another amazing blend from Mr Akiyoshi, this is one which should be saved for cocktail time. It is on the thicker side of medium bodied, with balanced acidity and lots of red currant and cherry fruit. — 8 years ago
