ExPrimere Wines Mia Peake Ranch Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021, Santa Rita Hills, California

Beautiful pale ruby in color with light intensity.

Fruity nose of red fruits with light wood, chocolates and spices.

Light to medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with red currants, red cherries, raspberries, coffee, light wood, spices, light earth and herbs.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a young Pinot Noir from Santa Rita Hills in California. Showing a soft mouthfeel and nice elegance. Fruit forward and spicy.

This Single Vineyard is delicious right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Nicely balanced with good complexity.

I expected it to be much lighter on the palate, just from the color, but it has nice weight and good structure.

Would be nice to revisit it in a couple of years and see how it evolves.

Tangy and easy drinking. Good by itself or with food.

Pinot Noir grapes were handpicked and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels. A small production of less than 2,400 bottles.

14.1% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$100.
