Some pine. Floral. Lovely.

Palate is a bit tannic. Lovely cherry fruit. Juicy. As it opens a hint of balsamic. Not a good sign.

As it airs tanins become more pronounced. Which is odd. Still a fun drink.

This may be mildly corked. God hates us all. My guess in 5 years will be very good. Or not.

On the btl, they say it’s the bees knees.
Well, Vespolina it tis’ and I may agree.
N: Liquorice, Rosemary, tar,that nose might lead you to think you’ve got a heavyweight. But no.
P: Big black cherries and that distinctly Italian acid lift. Slightly tannic, volcanic earth. Fun stuff at 13°

Colli Tortonesi Timorasso 2018

Scents of lemon custard pie when it was first poured and that shifted to sea water and then to more of a green dulse or Kombu smell after just a few minutes in the glass!
I love the taste of this Piedmont white. Soft on the palette with a wonderful maturity that includes light tannins and a freshly acidic after taste- what balance! Would love to try a few bottles of this every year to see what it has to offer with even more age.

N: Lots of tar and cured leather on the nose, a bit of mint. Balsamic dipped strawberries, gravel, lots of interesting aromas coming up.like when you sit on an old, dusty, cracked red leather couch.
P: At first crack, all leather and tar with grippy tannins, as it airs, some dark cherries and loam, lots of crisp but assertive fruits, dark berries. Shines w protein. A great treat from Alto-Piedmonte. 12.5° 70% Nebbiolo, 15% each Vespolina and Croatina.Well done!
