Flint, floral and citrus on the nose. Delicious concentrated fruit. Long and beatiful exit. Was extremely pleasent alongside sashimi. — 7 years ago
Ripe sweet apple & peach balanced by razor sharp lemony acidity with a mineral flinty streak. Great balance & good length. Really lovely wine. — 9 years ago

Dynamite Riesling! Dry, tiny petrol, honeycrisp apple, lime zest. Delicious. Thanks @Sarah O'Kelley ! Killer value on this one. — 8 years ago
Not so much B vitamin on the nose as its "Trocken" cousin, this Qualitätswein mit Prädikat is emblazoned with the insignia that lets you know this one is designed to go into a wine lover's cellar. Sweeter and syrupier than the Trocken. Very well made but not for me. — 10 years ago
Focused & delicious Trocken with complexity & bright fruits. Very refreshing. — 12 years ago
Tried to round up as many ‘15 Reisling as I could. I prefer rs to the Trocken style (not that I dislike it) & this rich feinharb hits the sweet spot- it’s that triangle of acidity, sweetness & fruit but it’s so perfect in its balance. And the wife likes it. Very, very good, especially for under 18$ — 7 years ago
This smells intensely of sage and sage flowers, along with passion fruit, grapefruit and elder flower. (“I am Scheurebe, hear me roar!”) Given such a resounding opening gambit, the wine proves (relatively!) discreet on the polished palate, turning in a coolingly minty and melony direction while preserving such luscious fruit as well as herbal pungency as the aromas promised. The terrifically-sustained finish is infectiously juicy, exhibiting overt but perfectly-integrated and supportive sweetness. Sage, grapefruit zest and smoky black tea accents serve for invigorating counterpoint. On occasion, the Rumpfs have demonstrated that these vines in the Dautenpflänzer can yield Scheurebe capable of playing in the Pfeffingen or Müller-Catoir league – and this is one of those delicious occasions. (On the heels of this beauty – on November 2, 2018 – I tasted a dry 2018 Scheurebe trocken, from fruit harvested in mid-September, that was already improbably delicious; but the Dautenpflänzer Scheurebe grapes from 2018 had been picked only a few days before I visited!) Razor sharp, lemon zest with stone fruit and wet stone. Yum! Dances in your mouth, lingers pleasantly. All the stuff I want out of a Riesling. — 11 years ago
I guess this will be my drop of the summer. — 12 years ago

A light wine with lovely tartness and subtle sweet flavors with fruit like apricot and wine grape juice. It tart perfect for food and not sweet, though a strong sweet smell. It's a signature riesling ans lovely.
Color: light pale yellow with golden tones.
Aroma: smells like a riesling delicious. It smells like what I think of ice wine. It smells like sweet fruit like apricot. It smells like summer. There's also floral tones and slight citrus.
Taste: It tastes fresh with a hit of acid and tartness, not sweet like the smell. There tang of like a sour apricot, tart grape. When chewed there's more of the sweet apricot flavors. A slight tartness lingers on the tongue. — 4 years ago
