Refreshing, crisp, slightly effervescent, and not too sweet. Would enjoy again if looking for a Riesling — 2 years ago
The Mauer where it’s only the grapes picked from the wall where they absorb heat from the day. Peaches and steel. A hint of sweet. Lovely mouthfeel. Fresh and delicious and long. — 5 years ago

Nazi wine. Look at the eagle 🦅Lots of nice aromatic cherry on the nose but ultimately just doesn’t quite come together. Tannins are surprisingly chunky and apparent. Good fruit and acid but missing one level of integration. — 6 years ago

A gift from my son in Germany. Hi it’s of honey and crisp green apples upfront. Only mildly sweet then a dry finish. — 7 years ago
Very good wine. Similar to sparkling Asti. — 8 years ago
Great example of German Riesling Auslese. A bit more developed than expected due to small bottle. Aromas of dry herbs, especially sage, honey, dried apricot, baked apple. Great acidity to balance the sweetness. Body is round and smooth, some hazelnuts and butter in the aftertaste — 8 years ago
Prrfectly aged with incredible tones of honey and lime — 6 years ago
Ren nytelse! Søtere enn det jeg normalt liker, men likevel frisk og lett! — 6 years ago
Kloster Eberbach Baiken Riesling Trocken 2011 (Gutsabfüllung aus dem Cabinetkeller, Rheingau)
Big, complex nose with lovely (although far from finished) maturity (petrol, struck match, butter). There’s also honey and ripe yellow fruit (and lots of it).
Wine is intensive on palate with a high, singing acidity. Nice mix of concentrated tropical fruits, spice and maturity notes such as honey, petrol, which makes the palate even more complex than the nose. Finish is long and like nectar.
With all the mature notes sitting in the first seat along with a high acidity - I would really like to try it again with some mature hard cheese. — 7 years ago

Although the Rheingau dominates in Riesling, the region’s Pinot Noirs are also noteworthy. From one of the oldest wine makers there, this Spätburgunder is light, balanced acidity, and beautiful layers of fruit. — 4 years ago
Excellent flavor profile. Dark, roasted, not over bocked. — 7 years ago

Gift. Drank 11/1/2025 with porcetta dish. Lively bright maybe natural. From the region introduced by Frieder in October 2014 the Frankfurt book fair and from the monastery visited with Oda on hike. Juicy. — 8 months ago
