Pear and juicy cool fresh cut fruit on the nose. Green apple, some mineral dust. Palate is refreshing and generous with the cool typicity of the Loire, never mind this is Chardonnay. I love every Roses de Jeanne I’ve guzzled, but this one was just off-kilter on this particular evening. Much more open than the Tignanello drank next to it, but wasn't as seamless. Very expressive ripe red berry fruit (jolly rancher?) and smokiness. It just seems the wine was a little off-kilter and didn't drink as easy as the Tignanello. But very good wine nevertheless. — 7 years ago
