In Fort Stockton,TX at K-Bob’s. Busy local steakhouse & bar with lots of cowboys. Wine was delivered too warm so ice bucket was needed to bring the temperature down a few degrees. Better than the Kenwood we had last night. $32 on the wine list. — 6 years ago

Okay, I'm Texan, and an untrained wine hooligan, so forgive me when I say that when I put my nose in this glass I smelled sweet, smoky barbeque, but in a good way! It was hard to smell anything else, but I think I picked up cherry, blackberry and toasted oak (duh?). Silky smooth on the tongue, with dark berries and vanilla. I really like this one. I can't wait to make my family eat it with pork ribs smothered in sweet BBQ sauce. Yes to this. Cheers. — 5 years ago

Pastiche has half price wines on Wednesday’s so I went for one of their higher priced ($64) bottles. Haven’t had a Jack London Vineyard in a long time so I thought this was the time to try it. Not very complex and a tad sweet. I’m amazed that they can sell this at the $64 price on other nights. Don’t know the retail for this wine. Don’t think I would order again. — 6 years ago
