The Paring’s 2019 Red is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend from the team at Jonata and The Hilt. It soars from the glass with wild flowers, herbs, blood orange and red-fleshed fruit. Elegant and nuanced, the Red is also a tremendous value. $20.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2022) — 2 years ago
Deep rich flavors of dark fruit . Really good — 6 years ago
With Yung and crab, red shrimp and bay scallop risotto. Ummm. — 8 months ago
Bordeaux Blend from the same team that offers Jonata Wines. Dark purple color. Aromas of black currant and blackberry along with pencil shavings, dried herbs and a hint of violets. Earthy tobacco and black fruit flavors with a hint of cola. Luscious with big chewy tannins and long earthy finish. Bold, but this wine still has some finesse. Needs a decant. — 5 years ago
2006 vintage. 426 cases produced, 3rd vintage from Jonata. Good fill and excellent (if slightly dry) cork. Decanted with little sed and tasted after 2.25 hours. Whiffable, earthy nose. Light-medium body. Tremendous, dark cherry concentration flavor-wise. A token offering of richness perceived just behind the front teeth on the roof of the mouth/palate. Instructive. 7.6.24. — 4 months ago
Good quality wine. A little ripe for my taste personally. Chocolate, dark cherry, raspberry and smoke. — 10 months ago

Deep purple in color with a short purple rim. Not showing age at all.
Nose of black currants, cooked plums, oak, tobacco, licorice, earth, cocoa, spices, tar and wild flowers.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, dried figs, tobacco, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, licorice and eucalyptus.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Syrah from Santa Ynez Valley in California. Still young, but already delicious.
Spicy, entertaining and very yummy.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours of airtime, and will probably be even better the next day.
Had it blind and could not believe that it's a 12 year old.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

This wine has a medium ruby hue (trending deep in color) with robust and layered aromas and flavors that include strawberry sauce (think fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt), raspberry coulis, tart cherry, rose water, tomato leaf, mint, black licorice, anise, vanilla, and pipe tobacco.
On the palate, it’s dry, with medium (+) acidity, a medium body, medium alcohol (13%) and medium fine grained, soft tannins.
It’s a delicious and versatile wine. And fun to taste a California expression of Sangiovese outside of its homeland in Italy! — 2 months ago
