I LOVE this wine. It is so old school. So much like the better CDRs and CDRVs I used to drink/sell in the early 80s. Very earthy, funky, aged meaty nose. Peppery, roasted green herbs, iodine-tinged flavors. There’s spicy blackberry skins too, but that takes a back seat to farmy garrigue. Clingy and damn good. Cambie may have have Ginger-ized most of the southern Rhône, but it is really nice to find that Mary Ann is still in the house. — 6 years ago
Gift from Mary Jean and Nick. Slight effervescence. Soft dry white great with shellfish . — 11 years ago
Mary Taylor a negociant sources from individual producers, grapes are from Jean Marc Barthez, a small co-op in Entre-Deux-Mers region. Blend of 95% sauvignon blanc and 5% semillon, pale lemon color with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with grassy floral notes. On the palate flavors of peach, grapefruit and melon with floral herb notes. Medium finish ending with fruit, herb and citrus notes, lively acidity with slight mineral character. — a year ago

Similar to the last time we bought this (2017 vintage) wine, but prior traits seemed to be dialed down 25%.
100% Chenin Blanc; Anjou AOC (Saint-Jean-des-Mauvrets)
Nose has chalky minerals, cold honey, beeswax and dried apricots.
Palate has dehydrated apricot, peach skin, medium acidity and medium finish.
$14, still a great value. — 3 years ago
Hazy raspberry red in the glass, like a ruby or claret. A lot of sulfur on the nose. When that subsides it’s still Jura funk through and through. This is all strawberries and summer goodness. Light to medium light body. Simply a phenomenal bottle. Drunk at Mary Celeste in Paris. — 6 years ago
